An International Training Camp for young players

will be arranged in Kongsberg in Norway this summer for the seventh time in the period 3rd to 8th of July. This will be a training camp where highly qualified coaches are engaged to make sure that the participating boys and girls may develop their skills in the sport of judo. Kongsberg is a town with a population of 22000, located 80 kilometres west of Oslo.

 

Invitation has been sent to 15 countries.

Tislegård Ungdomsskole, Kongsberg

Arrival and registration from 01.30 to 02.30. 3rd of July 01.

Thursday we will go by bus to Sommarland in Bø. This is an amusement park with swimming pools and waterfun. Try the wild river, water sledges and other fun activities. This tour is available for an extra fee of NOK 250,-.

Accommodation:

Accommodation may be arranged independently, but the prices given include accommodation in the school where all the training is taking place. For this type of accommodation the participants will have to bring along their own sleeping bags and mats.

 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price.

 

The training camp will have a capacity of up to 150 participants. Depending on the number of participants and their age and experience, there will be a split-up of two different training groups with separated training schedules.

 

 

Other activities:

For the third time will we arrange a team tournament. The name is of course “Viking Cup”. The teams will be organised in the camp.

 

In the camp other activities will be offered, such as picnics and outdoor barbecue, sightseeing to the silver mines, football matches, swimming in the lakes etc.............

 

During the same week as the camp, the Jazz festival of Kongsberg is taking place for the 37th time. This turns Kongsberg into an international City for a few days, and it might bee a good excuse for the parents to accompany their youngsters on the trip to Kongsberg.

 

Kongsberg has several other activities to offer, such as museums and other seaworthy attractions.
